Dad told me stories of Kinetic Playground a club the teenagers would flock to in the late 1960s hosting Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Byrds, Janis Joplin, Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Joe Cocker, Jefferson Airplane and Savoy Brown to name only a few. Sadly the club closed in 1973 due to neighborhood complaints. A wonderful collage of textures in this unique mini quilt.
