I don’t own a cabin on a lake but if I did home would look this way complete with a duck at the end of the pier. Each stitch quilted by hand through all layers starting with 3 and often through 10. Duck on a Pier -a hip tiny bright artwork. A modern art quilt composed of repurposed cotton fabrics sustainably sourced in deep vibrant reds, hot pinks, tangy tangerine peach and ocean turquoises hand quilted in various wool and silk yarns. You can feel the emotional charge that only art quilts bring in this framed piece. This original art boasts a uniquely intuitive modern vibe. Duck on a pier is a thick piece bringing a comforting gentle warmth to the space. Hand pieced and hand quilted one stitch at a time utilizing a large sharpened steel darning needle in various yarns Duck arrives mounted on white linen in a vintage solid wood frame painted a vibrant gold. Keeping with a sustainable practice using no new materials my frames are thrifted antiques and include no glass and often arrive freshly painted. This is one of a kind art and returns are not accepted. As in all of my pieces there is only one Duck on a Pier and the art will not be reproduced. This piece is signed by the artists stitched signature on the front corner before it is acquired and shipped, the reverse indicates the name of the piece and signature of the artist.
